A Nigerian woman identified as Olaide Adekunle reportedly alleged to have sold her eight months baby for N600,000 in order to settle bank loan in Ogun state.
The woman was arrested by Sango divisional police after she was reported by her Husband Nureni Rasaq.
According to the report, the suspect went out with her baby identified as Moridiat Rasaq on 11th March 2023 to Lagos but came back home without the baby. Her husband questioned her of the whereabout of the baby but couldn’t get a valid response.
After her husband reported the case, the suspect was arrested in which she later confessed that she sold the baby to settle the loan she borrowed from Microfinance bank.
The police is currently on investigation to know if the baby can be recovered back.
