Aisha Buhari is one of the Saboteurs in the Villa - Says Naja’atu Mohammed

Naja’atu Mohammed, a former Director in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, claimed on Monday that Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, is among the saboteurs in the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

This statement was made during an appearance on Arise TV, in response to the claims made by Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, who said that some government officials in the State House were working against the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The governor had made these claims last Wednesday, stating that some “elements” in the Presidential Villa were working against Tinubu and cited the petroleum subsidy issue and the naira redesign policy as targeted actions. According to the governor, these actions were aimed at negatively impacting the APC presidential candidate.

He stated, “I believe there are elements in the Villa that want us to lose the elections because they didn’t get their way. They had their candidate and their candidate didn’t win the primaries; they are still trying to get us to lose the elections and they are hiding behind the president’s desire to do what he thinks is right.”

Governor el-Rufai went on to give two examples, the petroleum subsidy and the naira redesign policy, to support his claims. He said that the petroleum subsidy was costing the country trillions of naira and was something that they all agreed would be removed. The governor’s comments and Mohammed’s allegations have sparked much debate and discussion within the political circle, as they point towards a potential rift within the ruling party.

It is important to note that these claims and allegations have not been officially confirmed or substantiated. However, they do shed light on the possible underlying tensions and conflicts within the ruling party and the government as a whole. As the 2023 general elections draw closer, it will be interesting to see how these issues play out and what impact they will have on the political landscape in Nigeria.

The claims made by Naja’atu Mohammed and the statements made by Governor Nasir el-Rufai have sparked a lot of speculation and controversy within the political sphere. These allegations, if proven true, could have far-reaching consequences for the ruling party and the government as a whole.

It is crucial that all parties involved approach these allegations with caution and professionalism, ensuring that the truth is revealed and that the interests of the country and its citizens are protected.
