The popular chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu has donated N50 million to compensate for the losses of the victims of the Katsina Central Market fire and to rebuild the market.
He was in Katsina on Wednesday the place he was obtained by the state governor, Aminu Masari, and was taken around the razed market by the governor.
He additionally paid a courtesy name on the Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumini Usman.
Talking concerning the incident, he commiserated with the victims and inspired the merchants to not lose sight of the larger footage regardless of the tragedy.
His spokesperson, Tunde Rahman, in an interview with the PUNCH said;
“Tinubu was in Katsina today to visit the burnt market.
He was received by the governor and the governor led him to the market and pledged N50m for the rebuilding of the market. He also paid a courtesy call on the Emir of Katsina.”
