According to the Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, the collapsed 7 floors building was unapproved, and the collapse occurred during the casting process. Fortunately, there were no fatalities, but few sustained injuries and are receiving medical attention.
The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Engr. Tayo Bamgbose-Martins, was quick to visit the site and launch an investigation into the matter.
