Calls for evacuation of Nigerian National in Afghanistan following the evacuation of many nationals from Afghanistan because of the current takeover of the federal government by the Taliban, the Nigerian authorities has given an update on the variety of residents in the warring country.
In keeping with the FG, there are no Nigerians in the country for evacuation.
It would be recalled that since the takeover by the Taliban, different world leaders have begun the evacuation of their citizens from the nation.
Whereas the US government has since evacuated more than 4,500 of its citizens, the UK authorities has evacuated 15,000 individuals under the Operation Pitting Evacuation mission.
The White House in a press release stated the next few days had been more likely to be probably the most dangerous of the U.S. evacuation operation that the Pentagon stated has taken about 111,000 folks out of Afghanistan in the past two weeks.
Reacting to calls for the evacuation of Nigerians in the country, the spokesperson of NiDCOM, Abdul-rahman Balogun, mentioned there are no Nigerians in Afghanistan.
“We don’t have any Nigerian in Afghanistan. That’s why we aren’t carrying out evacuation from the country.”
