The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) emerged victorious in the Adamawa gubernatorial election with a total of 430,861 votes, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) garnered 398,788 votes.
Although there was an early announcement of Aisha Binani, the APC candidate, as the winner of the election, she made a move to stop the collation process, which was unsuccessful as she lost the bid to halt the election results.
On Tuesday, the Federal High Court in Abuja declined to hear an ex-parte application filed by Senator Aisha Dahiru Ahmed, the APC candidate, seeking an order to halt the ongoing governorship election in Adamawa State.
Despite her efforts, the election proceeded, and a rerun was held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, ultimately resulting in the victory of the PDP in the gubernatorial race.
