How IMT Enugu student was shot dead, ASONIS, NACESS, NAPS and other students body mourn

Following the ongoing riots in Enugu state after the peaceful protest of #EndSARS was hijacked.

Matters Arising through its social media page earlier reported the intense of riot in Enugu before the sadden incident that claimed the life of a student of IMT Enugu.

According to reports made available to Matters Arising, Says  Mr. Ejike Okeke which also known as KEKE is a student of Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu, Department of Computer Science year one and he is also an indigene of Enugu who hails from Ezeagu Local Government Area, Akama Oghe community.

Ejike Okeke was reportedly murdered in cold blood at his place of work Juhel filling Station, Nkponkiti early hour Saturday.

It was gathered that, Ejike Okeke was trying to earn a living before he was shot down by a stray bullet while at his point of duty as a pump attendant at Juhel Filling Station, Nkponkiti.

Meanwhile, the students body across the Enugu campus, call on all relevant authorities and the State Government under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi that Justice should take it’s course and the perpetrator(s) of this gruesome act is brought to book and made to pay for their carelessness while seeking that his family be well compensated for ‘KEKE’ never deserved such Death.

They said, His only offense was that he was trying to earn a living before he was shot down by a stray bullet while at his point of duty as a pump attendant at Juhel Filling Station, Nkponkiti.

The council also ceases this opportunity to appeal once more to all it’s members Nationwide to remain law abiding and stay off every area where anarchy is ongoing while praying that normalcy returns to our dear nation and states.

We also wish to state categorically that every form of violence, destruction of property (private or public) should be high shunned by all well meaning student and students of our dear State.

Once more we advise us all to commit the current situation of the country into the hands of the Lord through prayers while calling for the youths to be calm and give peace a chance as well as create room for dialogue as the Blood of all naccessite’s and every Nigerian is important and paramount for the progress of our Nation and State at large.
