Nollywood actor and politician, Yul Edochie, has announced that he is dropping his presidential ambitions ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The Nollywood actor, who had previously declared his intention to run for the presidency on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), took to his official Twitter page on moments ago to reveal that he’s no longer running for the post. According to him, after much meetings and consultations, they came to the conclusion that his party did not have the capacity to win a presidential seat at the moment.
“I wanted to run for President with APGA. After much consultation and meetings, We sat and did our evaluations. We put sentiments aside and embraced facts. Our party is good but does not have the capacity at the moment to win a presidential seat. So I didn’t move further.” The 40-year-old movie star tweeted.
