Insecurity: Governor Sani Bello commiserate with victims of Rafi Bandits attack, assures security ~ Matter Arising
Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State has condemned the renewed armed banditry attack in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State and has commiserated with the victims of the attacks.
The attack led to the death of seven vigilantes and left many injured.
Governor Sani Bello described the attack as “sad and unfortunate”, warning that the government would not take it lightly with unscrupulous elements puncturing the peace and security of the state.
He commiserated with families of those who lost their lives in the incident and has assured them that both the state and federal governments are determined and working assiduously to bring an end to the carnage being perpetrated by the bandits.
Governor Sani Bello added that strategic measures were being taken to curb the activities of the bandits and urged members of the communities to assist security agencies with valuable information about miscreants and their whereabouts.
The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of Niger State citizens, saying that he will not be derailed by the indiscriminate violence against innocent people orchestrated by bandits.
