Meet 26year old female aspirant in APC, Rukayat Shittu

The youngest female aspirant, who is contesting for the Owode Onire constituency seat in Asa local government at the Kwara State House of Assembly, and other female aspirants under the aegis of Kwara Progressives Women Aspirants (Kwa-PWA) met with the Kwara State First Lady, Ambassador Olufolake Abdulrazaq in Ilorin, the state capital to discuss issues surrounding female candidature in the state.

Receiving the game changers, Ambassador Abdulrazaq appreciated the visit, noting that the present administration in Kwara has created an avenue for female inclusion in governance and leadership positions.

She urged the women folks to engender their personality with respect, humility, and confidence, while they learn to use the party structure.

Speaking at the meeting, Rukayat appreciated other aspirants for the bold step of coming together in one voice

The group commended the APC National Leadership for making the nomination form fee-free of charge for women aspirants across the federation.

Also, Kwa-PWA in their collective submissions lauded Governor Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman on the 35% gender inclusion bill, saying his administration has always been committed to the development of women folks.

In their deliberations, the group mapped out some activities to further strengthen the goals of Kwa-PWA ahead of the 2023 elections.

The meeting had; Hajia Saadatu Kawu Modibbo (Ilorin East/South), Hajia Lawal Arinola (Ilorin East), Hajia Basheerat Abdulrazaq (Ajikobi/Alanamu) Hajia Tundu Alanamu (Ajikobi/Alanamu), Hajia Mariam Imam (Edu) Hajia Mariam Yusuf (Ilorin West/Asa) Hajia Mariam (Afon), Hajia Bolajoko Bello (Ilorin South) and Hajia Monsurat (Moro)
