Osun Policemen protest over non payment of their 18 months salary and okada riders sleeping with their wives

Policemen of police headquarters of Osun state has taken to the street to protests over the inability of government to pay their 18 months Salary and how Okada riders were sleeping with their wives.

The uniformed policemen guessed to be more than 480 in number were seen on Old-Garage area, marching through Oke-Fia, Alekuwodo with placards written “Pay our salary now’; ‘Okada riders are sleeping with our wives’, ‘Pay us our 18-month salary’, ‘pay us’, ‘Our Stipends And Allowances’ and ‘18 months without kobo’ etc.

Constable Tijani Adewale, one of the the leaders lamented that they have gone to local goverment, dignitaries and so on but to no Avail, they also cried out that they lost three policemen in Ikiree and iree and despite all this, they were still loyal to their work.

Nevertheless, Osun Police Commissioner Olawale Olokode later joined them and ordered them to stop the protest immediately, and as far as they are on uniform, they should maintain discipline and order as a force man.
