Igbo in civil servant of Lagos state has express her sincere apologies on behalf of the Igbo community for the coordinated vote against the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the last presidential election in Lagos state.
According to her, it is a known fact that Lagos state is a stronghold of the APC under the leadership of President-Elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the coordinated vote against the APC was a huge blow to the party and its supporters.
The civil servant, who spoke on condition of anonymity, expressed regret over the actions of some Igbo residents in Lagos state during the presidential election.
“I understand that this action by some Igbo residents has caused a lot of concerns and tension among Lagosians, especially as the gubernatorial election is fast approaching. However, I would like to plead with all Lagosians to forgive the Igbo community and move forward in unity towards the upcoming election”. She said
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has done a lot for the state since assuming office and deserves to be re-elected. His efforts towards the improvement of the state’s infrastructure, education, healthcare, and security are evident, and his administration’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been commendable.
It is important for Lagosians to resist the temptation of voting for opportunist candidates. We should all focus on the development of Lagos state and support the candidacy of Governor Sanwo-Olu because he has the best plans and policies for the state. The progress and development of Lagos state should be our primary focus, regardless of our ethnic or religious backgrounds.
I urge all Lagosians to come together and work towards the common goal of ensuring that Governor Sanwo-Olu emerges victorious in the upcoming gubernatorial election. Unity and cooperation among all residents of Lagos state are crucial for the continued development and progress of the state.
I plead with all Lagosians to forgive the Igbo community and support Governor Sanwo-Olu in the upcoming gubernatorial election. Let us all come together as one to build a stronger and better Lagos state for ourselves and future generations.
