Unknown Gunmen reportedly have clash with the men of Nigeria police MTD Garriki Awkunanaw Enugu State early hours of today Monday 9th August 2021
Mathers Arising learnt that, the clash left an officer from the police station dead, after a serious gun battle, while the rest escaped through the fence.
All the effort to reach the Enugu State’s Police Command proved abortive.

Two persons were reportedly killed in Nnewi, Anambra State on Monday as there was one hundred percent compliance to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)’s ordered sit-at-home.
Eyewitnesses said they heard gun shots at Izuchukwu Junction as early as 6:00 am only to come out to see two lifeless bodies of young men. But nobody could explain who shot them.
Meanwhile, markets, offices and other public places remain closed. Even the roads and major streets are vacated.

The victim, it was gathered, was in one of three buses that were torched by a mob.
Two of the vehicles, Hummer Buses, belonging to a popular transport company, Libra, were coming from Umuahia, Abia State capital when they ran into a group of hoodlums suspected to be members of IPOB.
It was gathered that they shot at the tyres, which forced the bus to stop.
The passengers of the buses scuttled to safety, while one of the drivers was reportedly shot in the hip.
The passenger could not escape before the bus was burnt.
It was also reported that there was heavy shooting around Banana junction along Orlu-Owerri Road as gunmen engaged security agents in a shoot-out.
