Three reportedly suffocate as hundreds of students struggle to write GST exam in overcrowded hall in EBSU
Three students of the Ebonyi State University (EBSU) have reportedly died after they suffocated while attempting to write a GST exam in a crowded hall on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
Footage shared online show hundreds of students struggling to get a space in the hall for the exam.
During the struggle, eight students reportedly fainted, some got injured, and some suffocated to death.
Footage shows students rushing unconscious students out of the open space so they can get air.
Some reportedly never regained consciousness.
Matters Arising had it on another report that, five student fainted at the cost of struggling to enter the exam Hall for GST courses due to over population of students,mmmhhh😭😭😭😭
Dear EBSU, Remember some of your students are their parents only child 😢😢
We need a better and convenient way for writing the exam. We are not just happy on what happened in the school today 😢😢
