Nigeria Troops killed Biafra National Guard Fighter, recover three operational vehicles of the Terrorists Group
The gunmen led by one Innocent Orji had earlier in a video threatened to liberate Nnamdi Kanu and other prisoners of conscience, they also declared war on Nigeria stating that the Anambra election will not hold.
The agitators had stormed a post manned by troops at Amaekpu in Ohafia Local Government Area on Thursday.
Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu narrated the ambush in a statement.
He said the heavily armed assailants invaded the location in a number of vehicles and fired bullets.
Troops returned fire, killed one, while others fled, leaving their vehicles. One pump action gun, among others were recovered at the scene.
Those who escaped were later intercepted at Eda by soldiers of Forward Operating Base (FOB) Ohaozara in Ebonyi State.

A statement by Onyema Nwachukwu, Brigadier General Director Army Public Relations reads “the assailants, who were heavily armed and conveyed in several vehicles opened fire on the troops’ location, but were met with stiff resistance by the troops.
In the encounter, the troops neutralized one gunman, while others abandoned their vehicles and retreated in disarray with gunshot wounds. The troops also recovered a pump action gun, among others.
While the criminals withdrew, having been overwhelmed, they were promptly intercepted at Eda by troops of Forward Operating Base Ohaozara in Ebonyi State. The troops recovered additional three vehicles and apprehended one of the gunmen.”
