Popular Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo (Igboho), has mentioned the Ogun state government invited him and his group to fight banditry and kidnapping within the state.
Igboho stormed Ogun community, Oja Odan, on Monday together with his group, promising to place an finish to each type of kidnapping and killing by suspected Fulani herdsmen within the state.
In the meantime, Remmy Hazzan, Special Adviser on Public Communications to Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, had earlier mentioned Igboho, was welcome in the state.
He was quoted as saying, “Anyone who’s hoping to assist us with the security scenario is welcome. Not solely Sunday Igboho, whoever has what it takes to assist us get safety proper is welcome in Ogun State.”
On Monday, Igboho, when talking with journalists, revealed that he was going to Yewa North Local Government Area in Ogun State, a spot believed to be beneath siege from Fulani herdsmen.
Addressing the gang that gathered to talk with him at Oja Odan, Igboho mentioned, “We’ve come to Ogun State to rescue our people from the activities of Fulani herdsmen.
“We learnt that Fulani kidnappers are disturbing our people in this state; kidnapping them, raping them. That is our land, that is our nation, Yoruba nation, sufficient is sufficient, we do not need Fulani kidnappers anymore.
“The Ogun State government invited us and that is as a result of the federal government is good. The governor of this state is an effective man; he has proven that he loves his people.
He is aware of that the poor are struggling and is able to defend them. He recognized that the same people he’s governing over are these which can be being killed and kidnapped.
“Our people cannot come house; the abductors have made our expressways unsafe for us. All of the elders of Yorubaland and each one of us; we aren’t proud of what is going on.
We’re going into the bush to see those that are threatening our people. We do not need herdsmen once more; we want to send them away.” Igboho said
