Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari while speaking during one day working visit to Imo state, expressed disbelief that Igbo indigenes wanted out from the Nigerian union
The president said calling for disintegration is unthinkable, noting that the Igbo people were largely needed in Nigeria.
Praising the resourcefulness and enterprising spirit of Igbo individuals, the president stated;
‘The fundamental factor concerning the Igbo people is that there isn’t a city you’ll go to in Nigeria with out seeing the Igbos being in-charge of both infrastructure or pharmaceutical business.
Subsequently, it’s unthinkable for me that any Igbo man would think about himself to not be part of Nigeria.
The proof is there for everybody to see that Igbos are in control of Nigeria’s economy.’’
