EFCC arraigns former Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika and his daughter over ₦2.7 billion fraud

Former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, and his daughter Fatima have been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Federal Capital Territory High Court. 

Facing charges of alleged fraud and abuse of office, involving a staggering sum of N2.7 billion. 

The duo arrived at the court on Thursday, 9th May, 2024 to answer to the charges, which are a result of thorough investigations into their activities during Sirika’s tenure as Minister. 

The EFCC alleges that Sirika engaged in corrupt practices, including embezzlement and misappropriation of public funds. 

The trial is ongoing, and the nation waits with bated breath to see how the case will unfold.
